Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter — the social media landscape can feel overwhelming, but social can be a wonderful – and effective – tool for keeping in touch with customers and clients, staff, and potential investors. This presentation walks through best practices as well as innovative ideas for using social media and figuring out which platform works best for you. Special attention will be paid to Facebook’s business features. An overview of tools to help with social media calendaring and automation will also be included.
Alli Thresher is the Director of Digital Content for PJ Library, a global book gifting and literacy initiative and program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Through their work with PJ Library, Alli curates and produces family-friendly and educational content including: parenting blogs, read along videos, printables, webinars, and the award-winning storytelling podcast, Have I Got a Story For You!
Prior to joining HGF, Alli spent more than a decade working in STEM as a video game designer and social media strategist and consultant. When they’re not knee deep in SEO and digital analytics, Alli is also a full time work from home parent to two hilarious kids, Vincent and Theo.
