More information on Liz:
Liz Hamilton has 20+ years of experience in fund raising, nonprofit management, strategic planning, public relations, marketing, and grant writing for nonprofit organizations. She has extensive knowledge of the nonprofit world as she has worked in both the private and public sectors as a program director, social worker, development director, and executive director.
Liz received B.A. degrees in English Literature and Communications from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and a Master’s Degree in social work from Boston University.
Liz is currently the CEO at the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, after serving as a consultant for the Club’s $10 million capital campaign and then as part of the Club’s management team.
Liz’s work and achievements have been recognized throughout her career. In June 2009, Liz was awarded the “Resource Development Professional of the Year” award by the Yankee Chapter of Club Professionals; in June 2016, she was presented with the key to the City of Worcester for her work advancing philanthropy and creating programs to benefit children. In 2020, Liz received the United Way of Central Massachusetts’ Women’s Initiative’s Lois B. Green Leadership award and was recognized as one of seven “Outstanding Women Leaders” by the Worcester Business Journal. In addition, she was named by the City of Worcester as a “Hero Among Us” for her work during the pandemic. In 2021 and 2022, she was named by the WBJ as one of the “Power 50” and received national recognition in 2021 by Maytag as a “Dependable Leader” which included a $20,000 prize for the Club’s mentoring programs.
Liz is grateful for the support and recognition she has received both locally and nationally and contributes these honors to a supportive family, strong mentors, and an incredible team of dedicated professional Club staff.
