September 11, 2019: Power, Gender Roles and a Career in Development
Jen Maseda, She’s Local Using modern-day examples, we will identify gender roles and power issues related to Development careers touching on power in work, love, and friendship. We will examine how women effectively use power in the world of development to not only help themselves, but also other women progress in their careers, and how this affects their personal life and friendships. The topics that we will cover are the traditional/stereotypical gender roles of women in the workplace and a post modernistic view of women in power.
October 2, 2019: Maximizing Your Major Donor Pipeline
Larry Raff, Copley Raff Building and enhancing a major donor pipeline requires a deliberate and thorough process. This session teaches skills for: relationship and rapport building, using quantitative and qualitative methods to capture critical insights on potential donors, how to speak with prospects, determining the amount to request when asking for major gifts, and, confidently preparing to make the ask. This session is based on planMGO, the highly successful program conducted by Copley Raff since 2009.
November 6, 2019: How to Calculate Your Key Fundraising Metrics
Robin L. Cabral, MA, CFRE Fundraising planning time can often be a stressful time. However, if you have been successfully measuring your nonprofits fundraising effectiveness, planning and resulting strategy become a cinch. This program will share steps to take to start analyzing your key fundraising effectiveness metrics. You will learn some of the key metrics that need to be analyzed, the specific calculations behind each metric, how to determine if metrics meet industry cost standards, and what are the industry best practices regarding cost standards.

March 4, 2020: Inspiring Humans – Case Statements That Move People To Act
