Association of Fundraising Professionals National Philanthropy Day Celebration
Guest Speaker: Deb Goldberg, Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Dear Non-Profit Organizations and Staff,
November 15 is National Philanthropy Day®. Now is your chance to nominate someone who has made tremendous impact at your non-profit.
Philanthropy: It’s such a big, important-sounding word. It’s actually Latin, meaning “the love of
Humankind.” But the real meaning of philanthropy boils down to one word: giving. Giving money. Giving time. Giving of ourselves.
Last year, Americans gave billions of dollars to countless causes across the country and around the world: schools, religious institutions, hospitals, the arts and groups that fight social problems. And we didn’t give because we had to, but because we wanted to. It just feels good.
But we can do even more. We can give just a little more of ourselves, to help others, to help our community, and to help our world.
This year, do something special for National Philanthropy Day – celebrate with us on Monday, November 6. Nominate a donor or a volunteer involved with your organization to be recognized at the Association of Fundraising Professionals National Philanthropy Day Luncheon. The Nomination Form is attached.
The luncheon will be held:
Monday, November 6, 2017
12:00 – 1:30 PM
82 Brigham Street, Marlborough
